Criminal Charges Under Arizona Law

Felony Defense For Those Charged With Crimes In Pinal County Superior Court

Just as our attorneys represent those charged with drug trafficking and other felonies in U.S. District Court, we also represent people charged with felony offenses in the Pinal County Superior Court.  The Arizona Department of Public Safety patrols the Interstate 10 corridor between Tucson and Phoenix.  Many arrests are made each year, especially in the area around Casa Grande, when motorists are pulled over for alleged traffic violations, and drugs are discovered in their vehicles.  Typically, the suspects will be taken into custody and charged with one of the following crimes:

  • Possession of Marijuana for Sale, a Class 2 Felony
  • Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, a Class 2 Felony
  • Possession of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, a Class 2 Felony
  • Transportation of Marijuana for Sale, a Class 2 Felony
  • Transportation of Narcotics Drugs of Sale, a Class 2 Felony
  • Transportation of Dangerous Drugs for Sale, a Class 2 Felony

These cases are prosecuted by the Pinal County Attorney's Office in the Pinal County Superior Court.  The defendants are typically held in custody pending trial at the Pinal County Jail.  Not only does a conviction for any of these kinds of crimes carry a potentially long sentence in the Arizona Department of Corrections, being found guilty of drug trafficking is considered to be an Aggravated Felony under the Immigration and Nationality Act.  For that reason, if you are not a U.S. citizen, and you are charged with a felony in the Pinal County Superior Court, it is extremely important to consult with attorneys who can navigate you safely through your criminal case.  Getting the right result in your Pinal County felony case may make the difference between being deported, and being able to stay in the United States.
